Our Mission

Founded in Michigan in 1959,Trout Unlimited today is a national nonprofit organization with about 300,000 members and supporters in over 400 chapters dedicated to conserving, protecting, and restoring North America’s coldwater fisheries and their watersheds.

Our awareness campaign revolves around letting people know who we are and what we do.  The 3 pillars that support our mission are as follows:

• Protecting Watersheds
• Reconnecting Waterways
• Restoring fish and aquatic populations

By the next generation we will ensure that robust populations of native and wild coldwater fish will once again thrive within their North American range so that our children can enjoy healthy fisheries in their home waters.
